Hey, girlfriend. Have you been enjoying all the great content I have shared with you?
I have to tell you — There is one complaint from my fellow network marketers and business owners that stops me in my tracks. Every. Single. Time. It doesn’t matter how often I’ve heard it (and I’ve heard it A LOT.) It still stuns me! Here it is:

“I have no idea what to talk about, I don’t know how to find great content, I don’t know how to write well, so I can’t create any more content!”

Really?? Nothing to talk about? With all the resources at our fingertips, there are plenty of ways to create conversations that are relevant to the people you are trying to attract. Today, I am sharing 8 of my favorite content hubs, tools, and resources with you. In fact, it’s an overwhelming pile of stuff. You’ll actually be totally set just picking 2-3 of these and utilizing them regularly. And finally, when we’ve gone through all 8, I’ll share my cardinal rule for organizing all of those ideas and never losing control of your super-important content cadence.

8 Tricks to Find Great Content

#1 – Google alerts

Have you ever set up a Google Alert for yourself? It’s super easy and totally free. Set up relevant keyword searches within Google, and you’ll get an email sent to you with the latest big hits. Have it delivered daily, weekly, or every other Sunday, if that’s your thing. You can also set up Twitter alerts for hashtags!

#2 – Buzzsumo

Buzzsumo is a program which delivers the #1 trending blog post in a relevant category directly to you. In other words, if you’re looking for “entrepreneur,” it will find the content performing best using that keyword. Amazing!

#3 – FB Collections

Use Facebook’s “save article” and Collections options to save links to your personal page or set up an archive of the things you want to go back and read as you browse. Once you begin saving, FB allows you to create Collections based on as many topics as you like. SUPER handy! If you see something relevant, grab it and come back to it later.

#4 – Email Newsletters

Don’t go out there and subscribe to everything you find, PLEASE. Just identify and subscribe to 2-3 people in your market doing similar work. You’ll get ideas from both their newsletter and their linked blog content. What are they talking about? This is excellent research for your brand.

#5 – Pocket

Pocket is a content aggregator with a subscription option. It is hugely popular, and for good reason — this platform truly delivers! It assists in curating any news and information relevant to the consumer.

#6 – Medium

Medium is a popular blogging platform, but even better, it’s got an intuitive search interface that makes it so easy to find what you’re looking for. You can also sign up for the Medium Daily Digest!

#7 – Goodreads

Aside from having great book recommendations, Goodreads is a goldmine of quotes and snippets to use to create memes and other shareable content. It really helps to fill in the blanks so that you are continually sharing good stuff.

#8 – Pinterest

Pinterest alone is a game changer. There are so many ideas and rabbit holes here that it’s easy to get overwhelmed.

Pro tip: identify the concept or subject you’re searching for before you begin and stick to it. Otherwise, you may regain consciousness two hours later with 60 new slow cooker recipes to try (been there, done that.)

Now do you see why I find it SO SURPRISING that people keep telling me they “don’t know what to post?” If anything, there are TOO many ideas out there!

That’s why I’m reminding you to curate. Find the tool you like, save the stuff that speaks to your audience, and . . .

Create a Social Media Calendar

Remember how I said I was going to give you my cardinal rule for organizing all of this stuff? This is it. I don’t care if your calendar is online, on a spreadsheet, or hanging in your kitchen — just make one. Personally, I like Asana, Evernote, and Trello.

Build a social media calendar suited to your clients and you won’t believe how easy it is to keep posting and engaging every single day!

If you’re wondering how I operate, I keep my calendar updated, and use Google, Pinterest, and Facebook most heavily. I know that these are the tools serving me best.
