Welcome to Freedom TV with Julie Burke. This video and post, is geared a little bit more towards network marketing, and not so much content creation or branding, but there is a little bit of that inside the 4 tips.
I’m not going to be talking to you about duplication because honestly, I don’t feel that you can duplicate you. I am not about duplication. I’m about duplicating systems on the back end of my business. Nobody can duplicate what you do on the front end.

I’m going to walk you through four steps to success, and include micro steps inside each of the main steps.

How have I built a 7 figure business (Multiple 7 figure businesses now) in network marketing?
If you don’t know my story, I was with a company, my very first company, that I thought was my forever home. I was with a network marketing company and unfortunate things happened there. I thought it was my forever home, but they did not appreciate my entrepreneurial spirit.
I had to make the really tough decision to resign from a multiple six figure position. I almost hit company millionaire, and I also walked away from a team of over 9,000 people, and it was very difficult. It was not an easy decision. It’s been two years now and I did join a new company.
I went to the top of the company within a year because of what I’m bringing to you today.
I did not have my old team follow me. They had to stay at the old company, and I didn’t want to interrupt them. So, how do you start over from scratch? Well, I’m going to give you these steps today.
#1 Build a Foundation
What does “build a foundation” even mean? Well, mindset right? How did I go from one company to the next with everything that was going on? I had to shift my mindset.

“What am I losing to what am I gaining?”‘
Take Action & Be Productive
And then there’s productivity. Get things done. You have to know how to be productive, know what to work on. You have to understand how to time block. I am a busy mom. I have two boys. I go to the gym to workout in the morning, get them off to school, and I already have my work schedule set for the day. I come home, and I know exactly what I’m going to work on for the hours that I have until I have to quit at 3:00.
Have you ever read the book Eat the Frog or the book The One Thing? These books are all about getting your largest project done first. The stuff that maybe you don’t want to do. That list you don’t want to work on. Oh my God, or the list of contacts you don’t want to reach out to. The chicken list, right?
“Do what is going to move the needle in your business.”
Whatever that project or task is. It goes back to the big rocks and the little rocks, right? What moves the needle? If you put the big rocks in first, then the little rocks kind of fill up the remaining space.
#2 Create a Movement
Step two is creating a movement. You have a movement now around your vision because you did the foundation work. You’re getting your mindset straight. You’re actually getting your vision out on paper. Creating the movement is all about capturing your audience and having them join you in this movement. You have to paint the picture for them, right?
- Them quitting their nine-to-five
- Them finding their purpose & feeling fulfilled
- Them not having to drop their children off at daycare anymore.
- Them who are going through a divorce obtaining their own income.
They’re going to become a single parent, right? And they’re working so hard, and yet, they want to be able to have that freedom to be with their kids. Whatever it is, the stay-at-home mom who is just bored, and looking to create something of her own and drive income into her house and not have to ask her spouse if she can spend money on getting her nails done, you know?
The movement is around the dream and the vision you want to portray for others. And then, you offer the solutions. The solutions are your products or services. What is the solution that your product can solve for others? Become the problem solver.
So you’re creating this movement and you’re sharing your movement through social media, so you need to figure out your social media channels. Figure out where you’re going. Are you going on Instagram? Are you going on Facebook? Are you going on LinkedIn? Where do you want to be hanging out? Where do you want to be developing these relationships? Where are your people? And you need to know that. I’m going to talk to you about that in step three.
Craft an authentic message for your audience.
Know who you are, right? You know who you are and where you’re going and who you’re bringing with you. If you don’t, figure it out! It’s all about messaging. It’s all about creating the right content. Speaking of content, I actually have a brand new piece of content for you. You guys, it’s the bomb. I put a lot into this and it’s almost available.
You have to know who you want to attract. That is the number one thing.
Headlines are SO important, and the freebie I just created gives you a whole bunch of converting headlines. How do you like that one? Can I just get a clap emoji? Headlines are the most important thing to attract your audience into your posts, into your Facebook live, into whatever it is that you are doing.
#3 Cultivate Your Influence
Now you want to cultivate. You want to become the social media influencer. How do you do that? Well, you have to know your target audience. You have to know who you’re speaking to at all times. I speak to a lot of women. I speak to a lot of moms. I speak to a lot of people that are into health and wellness and fitness because that’s who I am and that’s what I’m about.
- Are you talking to stay at home moms?
- Are you talking to single dads?
- Are you speaking to the millennials that are wanting to move out of their parents’ home?
- Are you talking to the wife that wants to contribute financially?
- Are you talking the person craving more self confidence?
- Are you talking to the adventure seeker that wants to work while traveling?
You have to know who your target audience is, and then, you have to reach out to them. You want to talk to them about their problems. You can survey them. You can write social media posts and ask them questions. People love to give their opinions, trust me.
Figure out what their pain is. If you belong to a mom group, ask them the questions, “Do you own a home-based business? Why did you start it?” And if not, we can ask, “Why haven’t you looked into this yet?”
Be open, ask questions and see what responses you get. Then, you can use that as ammo when you’re creating content. You could also do this if you use ManyChat, or you could do it through email marketing.

This is why I’m talking about things that cannot be duplicated that I do on the front end. So I do a lot of email marketing, and I do stuff with Many Chat, and I am just a little bit more progressive where some other people on my team might not be. And that’s okay because I don’t make people do what they don’t want to do.
Build a Personal Brand
I’m all about building my own personal brand. Look at your OWN business assets because sometimes, network marketing companies and social media channels don’t last forever, which is why you need to build an email list.
Think about it. Facebook, you don’t own Facebook, right? Mark Z owns Facebook and we all know that shit is all crazy, especially lately with the algorithms changing. So I choose to build a community through my email list and through ManyChat. Building your own community is super, super important okay? I like to hammer that one home. You have to look at your business assets.
Eat the frog. Do the big thing first. Figure out what that is.
Once you figure that out, you’re looking to attract the right people to you. You know what your solution is, you know what your dream is, you know what your vision is, you are communicating your vision, you are creating the movement, you are crafting your content, and you are designing your messaging around who you want to attract.
When you know who your audience is and what they want, you’re going to cultivate those relationships through utilizing one, maybe two, social media platforms. Please do not spread yourself to thin. Then do outreach through attraction marketing.
#4 Leadership 101
Leadership is huge. If you’ve recruited one person into your business, you’re a leader. You’re looked at as a leader. We’re not born leaders. We make leaders. I didn’t get into this business to say, “Hey, I’m going to be a leader of all this.”
I got in because I was like, “I love residual income. I love what that sounds like, yes.” And then people started coming to me and I’m like, “Oh my God.” They’re asking me questions and I’m like, “Okay, I guess I’m a leader now.” That’s literally how it happened.
“When you become a leader, things change.”
Create a Schedule
Your life can easily be taken over by your team. You have to make space to balance time spent on your business and time spent with your family.
You have to set boundaries in your life. To do that, you have to have a schedule. Put together a schedule of when you are available so your team knows. Carve out dedicated time to spend with your family. For me, family time is in the evenings. I’m with my kids. We’re doing homework. We’re doing soccer. I will get to the message when I can, but my team knows that these are not my working hours. I work from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
You have to create boundaries and communicate them to your team and your family.
If the door is shut to my office, my kids know not to come in. My husband knows not to come in. However, my office door has the glass paneling and once in awhile my family starts knocking on the door to get my attention. I’ll be in the middle of something and I’m like, “Stop knocking at the door.” But you know, nothing is perfect but at least there’s boundaries.
Set up Systems & Automation
Another thing about being a leader is setting up systems and automation for your team. I take pride in having these systems in place. When we onboard new social marketers or new customers, we have an entire bot series. It’s really freaking cool.
What’s the problem when new people get started? They don’t know what to tell their new people, so now we have this automated drip campaign through a bot series that does the on-boarding for them. How brilliant is that? You have to put some automation and systems in place to make things easy and painless. It’s all about leadership, step into it.
